เขตปกครองพิเศษฮ่องกง แห่งสาธารณรัฐประชาชนจีน เป็นแหล่งท่องเที่ยวสำคัญ และเป็นสวรรค์ของนักช๊อปที่แต่ละปีมีนักท่องเที่ยวหลากหลายเชื้อชาติ เดินทางเข้ามามากมาย จนทำให้ปัจจุบันเกิดความหลากหลายทางวัฒนธรรม และมีการแข่งขันทางเศรษฐกิจสูงมาก ส่งผลให้ชาวฮ่องกงส่วนใหญ่ไร้ที่พึ่งทางใจ ไม่นับถือศาสนาใด และขาดการสั่งสมบุญค่ะ ดังนั้นวัดพระธรรมกายฮ่องกงจึงได้จัดกิจกรรมงานบุญต่างๆ เพื่อให้ชาวฮ่องกงได้สั่งสมบุญกันอย่างเต็มที่
